Our Building
Our scout headquarters is located on Staining Road Staining Village and comprises of a brick building with a new roof and all new upvc windows.The inside of the building has been completely renovated with the help of the Princess Trust and the Probation Payback Team.The Executive Committee are always looking at various grants for scouting facilities through Council grants and other funding streams.
Hire of Scout HQ
The building is hired out to various organisations eg Safe Hands 'Before and After School' club,Tae Kwon Do Club and local bands all use the facilities.

Our team
The Group consists of 20 Beavers,14 Cubs and 20 Scouts plus Explorer Scouts and is supported by a band of dedicated individuals who are known as 1st Staining Scout Group Leaders.
Without the dedication of these leaders who provide their services for no reward, the young residents of Staining and surrounding areas would not benefit from the scouting life skills they provide.
Beavers : meet on term-time Tuesdays 6-7pm
Young People Aged 6-8 Having Fun & Learning New Skills
Cubs: Meet on term-time Wednesdays 7-8.30pm
Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 1/2, who make up the second section of the Scouting family, between Beavers and Scouts.
Scouts: Meet on term-time Wednesdays 7.00-9.00pm
Aged between 101/2-14 years. Lots of co-ordinated and independant activities and many camping opportunities.
'It’s good to get out basically. I wasn’t too keen to go to Scouts to begin with but now it’s a good laugh. All the activities we do are fun and I’ve made loads of great mates.’
Explorer Scouts:
Aged between 14 -18 years.
' To anyone who hasn’t tried Scouting before, I’d say come on up and have a go! I think that most people don’t really know that Scouting is about activities, friendship and meeting people from other countries. I’ve been in the Movement since I was a Beaver and I still love it!’
