Staining Village

Welcome to our Village Website.

The settlement of Staining is a historic one and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. This large village is a thriving community and consists of a public house a doctors surgery a Chinese Takeaway a general store and a hairdressers.During recent years the village has been enhanced by a country club an 18 hole golf course a bowling club were the Staining bowling club meet, a garden centre and a fisheries complex.

The large Village Hall is the venue for various local groups.For the youths of Staining there is a Junior football club which plays on the Parish Council Millennium fields .The Local Staining Scout and Brownies occupy their own purpose building. For the More mature members of the village the Sunshine club provides regular meetings and days out.

The Parish Council is involved with organisation's such as the Gala Committee,the Football Club and the Primary School in supporting such events as the Gala Day,The Bonfire and Firework Festival and the Candlelight walk at Christmas.

In March 2009 The Parish Council produced a Parish Plan and is now working on the various Action plans.

The Parish comes under the Fylde Borough Council District and has Two Councillors elected for the seat of Staining and Weeton

The Parish Council meets every Third Thursday of each month and is represented by Nine Councillors who work hard in maintaining this village

All members of the community are invited to attend the Parish Council Meeting.
