My name is John R Singleton and Iive in Staining Village with my wife Geraldine on Staining Rise.

I worked for BAE Systems for 31years before moving on to become a Civil Servant working for the Department for Work and Pensions

I am involved with various charities within the Blackpool Area .

Geraldine is also involved with local and national charity fund-raising. Geraldine has completed a parachute jump from 14000ft. in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. In 2009 Queens new year honours,Geraldine Was awarded the MBE for services to the community .I had the pleasure of attending Buckingham Palace with Geraldine in July to her investiture.

I have been a Parish Councillor for Ten years and Chairman for Two years. The Fylde Borough seat for Staining & Weeton became vacant in May 2007.The seat was uncontested and I was elected as Ward Councillor for the Staining & Weeton Ward. In 2011 I fought for the seat with Five other candidates .I was re elected having the Majority of the votes.(582)
