My name is John R Singleton and I have lived in Staining Village for Seven years. I live with my wife Geraldine on Staining Rise.

I worked for BAE Systems for 31years before moving on to become a Civil Servant working for the Department for Work and Pensions

I am involved with various charities within the Blackpool Area .

Geraldine is also involved with local and national charity fund-raising. Geraldine has completed a parachute jump from 14000ft. in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. In 2009 Queens new year honours,Geraldine Was awarded the MBE for services to the community .I will have the pleasure of attending Buckingham Palace with Geraldine in July to her investiture.

I have been a Staining Parish Councillor for five years. The Fylde Borough seat for Staining & Weeton in May 2007 was uncontested and I was elected as Ward Councillor for the Staining & Weeton Ward.
