Advance warning of Road Closure

Chain lane will be close to traffic for re surfacing work from 11/02/2012 to 18/02/2012.

The C278 Chain Lane, Staining will be closed to traffic for resurfacing of the carriageway for 370m from 45m west of the junction with Castle Lane to 20m east of its junction with Meadow Park. To optimise the closure the works will also include some drainage, kerbing and carriageway duct crossing installation prior to the resurfacing. In the interests of safety this will be completed under a temporary road closure.

Saturday 11 February 2012 – Saturday 18 February 2012.

The closure shall run from 09:00 – 18:00hrs (however upon completion of the days work and the road is deemed to be safe to the general public then it shall be re opened to traffic)

A signed diversion route will be via B5266 (Longhouse Lane, Normoss Road, Newton Drive East, Newton Drive) A587 (North Park Drive, East Park Drive, South Park Drive) A583 Preston New Road, C270 Mythop Road.

Bus routes 15, 594 will be affected by the works.

Access to properties within the Works Area C278 Chain Lane, Staining to be maintained. To assist with an emergency response (Police, Fire, Ambulance etc

The 15 service will turn round at Newton Holidy Park during this period.
