Enterprise and Employment

Every month I sit as a member of the Enterprise and Employment Theme Group of the Local Strategic Partnership.  This group of dedicated business people, support services, and partner organisations such as Fylde Borough Council and Lancashire County Council work together to provide business opportunities and support, as well as working to help individuals seeking training to enter the jobs market.  The group encompasses both urban and rural Fylde.  Our priorities include the Shaping the Place Project in Central Ward, preparing for the 2012 Open Golf Championship and working toward Classic Resort Status.  We also work with Business Link, the YMCA, Job Centre Plus, and other support services dedicated to helping  both urban and rural businesses and those seeking employment opportunities.
