 Welcome to our Web Site. Here you will find a list of our meetings & syllabus, the names of our officials & contacts and hopefully see our general aims and philosophy. The Kirkham Local History Society is a self-funding group, where people of all ages and different walks of life, both retired and working meet for informative evenings covering local history and associated subjects, given normally by a Guest Speaker either well known or not so well known, in a variety of ways from the use of Wall charts, Slide shows, Video presentation's, or Real life artefacts & coins.
   We meet on the first Friday of each month from January to April, and September to December each year, at the Kirkham Cricket Club, Woodlands Avenue, PR4 2JQ (Behind The Public Library on Mellor Road). The times of meetings starting at 19:30 to about 21:00 hours. Doors opening at 19:00 hours. For visitors a charge of £1.50 pence for the evening is made, or £6.00 for an annual membership.          
   Over the years subjects have ranged from, Aircraft Industry Photography, Archaeology, Blackpool Trams, Trains & Transport, Country Houses, Dialect Humour, Early St. Annes, Fylde Local Villages & Towns,  Geology of the Fylde, Metal Detecting, Old ways of navigation with Ley Lines & Dowsing, People & Places during ancient, & more recent times, Simple introduction to making a personal Family Tree & History, & many other specialist & specific subjects, that have an historic  bearing on our lives and times.

4th December. Lancashire Pub Names. Cliff Astin.

Meetings are held at 7.30 p.m. at Kirkham Cricket Club, Woodlands Avenue, (Behind the Public Library on Mellor Road) Kirkham. PR4 2JQ.
